About

Our History

Hi, my name is Shania Jenkins and I am horse enthusiast. From just a young girl, younger than five, I was introduced to my first horse. My grandmother sat me on her high-spirited chestnut horse that we called, Miss, and while my mother was having a panic attack, my love for horses was just beginning.

Horses have always been a large aspect of my life, and considering my mother and grandmother were horse lovers, I was destined to be as well. I have spent years connecting with and learning from the horses within our pasture. Not only has having horses allowed me to find a hobby that created much joy for me, it has allowed me to find my serenity.

Growing up around and being interested in horses from childhood to adulthood has influenced the person that I am today. Having horses has allowed me to take responsibility for life that was other than mine. From cleaning barns, feeding horses, and looking out for the overall well-being of the animal, it has allowed me to see the rewarding feeling of spending years caring for the animal. Having horses throughout my life, has allowed me to care for others, deal with sickness and death, and it has allowed me to be able to find peace within myself. On days when I feel as if stress is consuming me, a quick trip to the barn or pasture allows me to be able to breathe again.

I encourage others to clear their mental state and find serenity as I have. Fingers crossed, horses are doing so or will do so for those who allow them to.
